Etala assures subsidy on LPG cylinders if BJP comes to power
Hyderabad: BJP legislator Etala Rajendar assured to extend subsidy on LPG gas cylinders when BJP comes to power in Telangana. The international market trends have an impact on the price of LPG cylinders. To make it proportionate to the global market trends, it was the then Manmohan Singh-led Congress government that began hiking the prices, he said.
Addressing International Women’s Day celebrations in Mailardevpally on Wednesday, Rajendar said that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao made politics a costly affair in the state. Revenue on liquor sales was Rs 10,700 crore when Telangana state formed. During his tenure, Rao increased the earnings to Rs 42,000 crore by way of setting up a belt shop for every 200 people, he said. This was despite vehement opposition from women, who demanded removal of all belt shops in the state, the BJP leader said.
Telangana state has only benefitted the Kalvakuntla family while all others are facing difficulty, he said. There is no family for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and he has been working for the people of the country, whereas Rao is working only for the sake of his family, he said.
If BJP come to power in the state, we will give 2BHK houses to women and subsidy on LPG cylinders, Rajendar said.
