Chandrababu Naidu failed to fulfil 600 promises, says YS Jagan Mohan Reddy
Visakhapatnam: YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy alleged that the Telugu Desam had failed to fulfil the promises made in the 2014 mainifesto, but was making new ones now. He said that the TD had made 600 promises but had not fulfilled them.
Addressing a meeting in Gajuwaka, he said, “In 2014, Naidu gave a 50-page manifesto and now he made it in 34 pages to cheat the people again. The YSRC manifesto is a single page and we will go back with it to the voters in 2024.” He said Mr Naidu “should feel ashamed” to say that he had fulfilled all promises made during the 2014 elections.
“The manifesto was removed from the party website and now he is saying he fulfilled everything. Naidu will try to do several tricks before the campaign ends. So people should be careful and should not fall in his trap,” Mr Reddy said.
“Given what he did after the elections, the people of AP are not ready to trust the promises of TD or Mr Chandrababu Naidu,” Mr Reddy said.
Earlier, while addressing a meeting at Tekkali in Srikakulam district Mr Reddy has targeted minister K. Atchannaidu, saying, “In the last five years there is a sand mafia in Amudalavalasa, Narsannapeta and Ichapuram constituencies and the minister belonging to the district is the ringmaster.”
“TD leaders have not left anything and completely looted the area. Whatever the contract, it should be given to the family of Atchannaidu. He is earning hundreds of crores in Neeru-Chettu programme and for Rs 3 lakh he has acquired land of APSRTC that is worth around Rs 5 crore. About 1,500 pensions of YSRC sympathisers and followers were removed and cheque power was removed for 26 sarpanches belonging to the YSRC,” Mr Reddy said.
At Gajuwaka, from where Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan is contesting, Mr Reddy said there was an understanding between the TD and the Jana Sena.
