Chandrababu Naidu’s kin witness poll frenzy
Vijayawada: AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu got his grandson Devansh and daughter-in-law Brahmani to join the Telugu Desam campaign on Sunday. He said that people of AP were like his family and asked the public to work for the development of AP state like his family.
Mr Naidu said Devansh was asking him where he was going every day, and he had brought the child and Ms Brahmani to show them the campaign at Nandigama.
He alleged that Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had given Rs 1,000 crore to YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSRC candidates were distributing the money to voters to lure them.
He assured that the TD on retaining power would provide Godavari water to upland areas of Krishna district.
He said as the farmers were suffering due to lack of Krishna water from Nagarjunasagar, he would complete the Chintalapudi lift irrigation scheme to bring Godavari river water to upland areas of Nandigama.
Mr Naidu said the TD government had fulfilled all the promises made in the 2014 election manifesto. He said the old age pension was increased 10 times and Rs 2,000 per month was being distributed. The pension amount will be increased to Rs 3,000 per month.
