KCR has disgraced Telangana, say Bandi, Chugh
Hyderabad: BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar and party general secretary Tarun Chugh on Saturday found fault with Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao for skipping Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programmes in the city.
Speaking to reporters at the Secunderabad Parade Ground after the Prime Minister’s meeting, Sanjay said he had personally requested Chandrashekar Rao to attend the Modi’s programmes. “We had allocated a chair for the Chief Minister and I had also brought a shawl to felicitate him,” Sanjay said.
He wondered what more important work Chandrashekar Rao had other than the Prime Minister’s event, which was attended by Union ministers and Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. “It is shameful on the part of the Chief Minister to ignore the Prime Minister. He should tender an unconditional apology to the people of Telangana,” the TPCC chief said.
Stating that Chandrashekar Rao had once again proved that he was a hurdle for development of the state, Sanjay said the people of the state are bound to teach him a fitting lesson.
“The Prime Minister clearly said he would speak politics only at the time of elections, but would focus on development after the elections. Irrespective of politics, he has sanctioned projects worth thousands of crores. Yet, KCR chose to skip the event,” the BJP leader said.
He thanked the BJP activists, leaders and the people for making the Prime Minister’s meeting a grand success. “We cannot forget the love and affection showered by the people who voluntarily turned up at Modi’s meeting,” he said.
Sanjay reiterated that development of Telangana was the only agenda of the BJP and asserted that the party would come to power in the state in the next elections with the overwhelming support of the people.
Tarun Chugh said Chandrashekar Rao had not only lost respect for democratic practices but had become a disgrace for Telangana. It is for the fifth consecutive time that Chandrashekar Rao has demonstrated disrespect for the Prime Minister, Chugh said.
“At a time the Prime Minister is in the state for public welfare projects, KCR is only deceiving people,” Chugh said. “KCR has disgraced people of the state which indicates he is on his way out.”
Meanwhile, the party held a meeting of its morchas at the Shyama Prasad Mookerjee Bhavan on Saturday. Sanjay, Chugh, party national secretary Arvind Menon and others were present.
Speaking at the meeting, Chugh said that a reverse road map should be prepared from November to May as Assembly elections approached fast. The list of active leaders and others should prepared and frontal organisation meetings will be conducted regularly, he said. Bandi Sanjay said that Unemployees March will be conducted in Warangal soon.
