Aim for KCR as CM for third time, KTR tells people
ADILABAD: Senior Minister KT Rama Rao said on Monday that the aim of the people of Telangana should be to “make KCR the CM for a third time.”
“This should be the collective aim as the people should not lose a good leader like KCR. His leadership is in the interest of the poor and for the development and welfare of the state,” Rama Rao said.
He was responding to the slogans ‘CM ... CM’ by the people present at a public meeting that KTR addressed, obviously meaning the minister himself.
KTR said, “CM is in Hyderabad and not here. Stop such slogans.”
He said the state government was giving help to 1,100 Dalit Bandhu units this year and 100 units last year. He appealed to the beneficiaries that are to be selected that there was “no need to give a single rupee as a bribe to anybody.”
The scheme, he said, was aimed to reproduce wealth with an investment of Rs. 10 lakh in one or other enterprise, which would make the Dalits rich (Dalithulanu Danikulanu Cheyadaniki).
KTR’s comments on Dalit Bandhu and against bribe by the beneficiaries assumed importance as he recently stated openly that some BRS MLAs were collecting a bribe of Rs. 3 lakh from each beneficiary.
KTR reeled out names of the flagship schemes being implemented by the BRS government in the state and explained how these schemes changed the lives of the people. KTR also talked about the job recruitments under various categories in the SCCL in the last nine years and how the bonus was increased to workers from 18 to 30 per cent.
KTR was addressing the gathering in Bellampalli town after laying the foundation stone for the expansion of the Devapur cement factory at a cost of Rs. 2,000 crore that would create jobs for 4,000 unemployed youths. He also launched a special food processing zone in a 350-acre land where 27 companies would start their activities soon.
He said foundation stones were laid by the state government for development projects worth a total of Rs. 114 core in the constituency.
He praised local MLA Durgam Chinnaiah for developing the constituency and appealed to the people to elect good leaders with high margin in the next elections.
KTR said the state government is issuing pattas to 7,000 persons, including 3,000 SRT quarters and 4,000 house sites in the Bellampalli town.
Pattas are given to house sites, each worth Rs. 15 lakh to Rs. 20 lakh. The minister issued pattas to 30 beneficiaries and announced that local MLA and ward councilors would visit these families and hand over the pattas to the beneficiaries.
KTR said he was inspired a lot when he visited two IT companies established by the local youths, which are providing jobs to the locals. He promised to set up a skill development centre to train the local youth.
The minister criticised the Congress and the BJP in the state, and asked why BJP chief Bandi Sanjay was doing Nirudyoga March if, as per his claim, “Modi created 18 crore jobs” in the last nine years.
Ministers Mahmood Ali and Allola Indrakaran, Zilla Parishad chairman Kov Laxmi, Janardhan Rathod, MLA Atram Sakku, Rekha Naik, Rathod Bapurao, Diwakar Rao, Koneru Konappa, Zilla Grandhayala Samsta chairman Renigunta Praveen, ZPTC Arigela Nageshwr Rao, ADCC chairman Bhoja Reddy and others were present.
