Tiruchy: Senior State CPI leader Mahendran hoped that the Tamil Manila Congress (TMC) would join hands with the People Welfare Alliance (PWA).
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Mr Mahendran pointed out that the May 16 election to the State Assembly will witness a multi-cornered contest and the ruling AIADMK feel that this would favour them. But that was not possible, he said, adding, that chances for the PWA were “bright”.
To a question, he said that the ruling AIADMK also planned to purchase voters with money and wanted the Election Commission to prevent this.
