BY Vijayendra begins Varuna campaign
Mysuru: B.Y. Vijayendra, son of state BJP president B.S. Yeddyurappa, who is likely to be the BJP candidate for Varuna constituency, is back in Mysuru and making swift moves to fight the battle in Varuna.
He held a meeting with Bharatiya Janata Party workers in Varuna on Sunday and plans to launch his campaign from Tuesday.
He also met Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s ex-rival in Varuna constituency and retired IPS officer L. Revanasiddaiah at a farmhouse on Mysuru-Nanjangud road.
“Revanasiddaiah invited me for breakfast. He had lost by a narrow margin. So we invited him to join the Bharatiya Janata Party. We are waiting for his decision. Mr Yeddyurappa too will visit him shortly,” Mr Vijayendra said.
Mr Vijayendra, who recently visited Suttur math and the temple atop the Chamundi Hills, on Sunday visited Vatal math, and sought the blessings of its seer Sri Siddalinga Shivacharya Mahaswamiji.
