High Drama, Tension Mark Chandrababu's Arrest in Nandyal
Nandyal: Andhra Pradesh's former Chief Minister and Telugu Desam chief N. Chandrababu Naidu was taken into police custody at Nandyal in the alleged skill development scam on Saturday morning.
Tension prevailed at RK function hall in the town, where Naidu had halted for the night in his bus. A large number of policemen descended on the place prior to his arrest.
On receiving information about this, the TDP leaders and activists had also gathered in large numbers at the venue. When Naidu asked how he could be arrested without any prima facie evidence and also mention of his name in the FIR copy, the police informed him that they had produced the necessary documents before the High Court.
Naidu's lawyers argued with the police to submit the evidence before making the arrest. The Police asserted that all the details have been incorporated in the remand report.
On the other hand, Lokesh was halted by the police when he tried to visit his father, Chandrababu Naidu. He inquired, "Why am I being prevented from meeting my father? Who has granted you the authority to stop me?" Lokesh questioned the police.
In a protest against Naidu's arrest, Lokesh took a seat at the protest site to show his objection to the police actions.
