TDP Leaders Under House Arrest After Naidu Taken into Custody

Vijayawada: Several leaders from the Telugu Desam (TD) were placed under house arrest following the detention of the party's chief and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Chandrababu Naidu in connection with the alleged skill development scam.

TD MLAs Nimmakayala China Rajappa (Peddapuram), Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary (Rajamahendravaram Rural), Adireddy Bhavani (Rajamahendravaram Urban), Vegulla Jogeswara Rao (Mandapeta) and all constituency in charges and TD district presidents in erstwhile East and West Godavari have been put under house arrest following Naidu's arrest.

Similarly, Kuna Ravi Kumar in Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam (West) MLA Gana Babu, Bendalam Ashok in Ichapuram, and former minister Devineni Uma in Vijayawada were kept under house arrest.

Former minister Kala Venkat Rao and senior leader Venigandla Ramu in Gudivada were also arrested when they tried to stage a protest against Naidu's arrest.
