Andhra Pradesh HC Adjourns Naidu's Anticipatory Bail Plea in Sand Case to Nov. 22
Vijayawada: The Andhra Pradesh High Court heard Telugu Desam president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s anticipatory bail plea in a case of irregularities in free sand policy here on Wednesday and adjourned the matter for next hearing to November 22.
The AP CID’s counsel submitted to the court that the investigation agency would not seek arrest of Naidu in the case until November 28 as he got the grant of interim bail in the AP skill development corporation scam earlier on medical grounds until that period. Accordingly, the court recorded the statements and adjourned the case.
The AP Mineral Development Corporation lodged a complaint to the AP CID earlier alleging irregularities in free sand policy causing revenue loss to the state exchequer during the previous TD regime and Naidu was placed as Accused No. 2 in the case.
