KCR is a failed state-level leader: Bandi
Hyderabad: “The misfortune that befell Telangana in the form of TRS is now over.” Declaring this, and asking the Chief Minister and the president of the ruling party that has recast itself as Bharat Rashtra Samithi as to what “KCR hopes to achieve at the national level after having failed as a leader of a state,” state BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday said the new entity was a party without policies, perspectives or plans.
Speaking to reporters at Metpally during a stopover on day 12 of his Praja Sangrama Yatra, Sanjay said, “The BRS will now ensure VRS for KCR. We have proved that he has betrayed Telangana. Now, he has even dropped the word ‘Telangana’ from his party’s name.”
He added, “Since no one cares for him here anymore, he launched the BRS so that people can forget his misdeeds. He did so to divert attention from the scams that members of his family are involved in. This is an attempt to bring together members of the ‘tukde gang’ who are against unity and development of the country.”
Sanjay said that Rao “having looted the state, is setting out to loot the country.” He said: “A CM who cannot rule a state, and one who cannot pay salaries on the first of every month, now says he will rule the country”, and added that the development was not something that the BJP would be worried about.
Party vice-president D.K. Aruna said the that “TRS did nothing for the state and the BRS will do nothing for the country. The BJP will not be impacted irrespective of with whom Rao will enter into alliances.”
Senior leader P. Muralidhar Rao, in a tweet said, while Indian democracy is always open for new political parties, Rao must explain his idea of changing his party name. His contributions like dynasty politics, corruption and appeasement already have been represented by Congress and other regional parties and rejected by the public, he said.
State spokesperson N.V. Subhash said the BRS will be a rehabilitation centre for some politicians. He said that the launch of BRS was primarily to transfer power in the state by the Chief Minister to his son K.T. Rama Rao.
