BJP will stage state-wide stir tomorrow: D.K. Aruna
HYDERABAD: BJP senior leader D.K. Aruna slammed the TS government and said dictator’s rule was continuing in Telangana state.
Expressing concern over the government's indifferent attitude towards teachers’ transfers, she said anti-people policies of Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao would boomerang. She said state-wide dharnas would be observed on January 11 in protest against the arrest of BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar.
She said the BJP programmes were obstructed by the police citing corona restrictions whereas no such curbs were seen on the TRS programmes. She claimed the party would fight till the end to effect changes to GO 317.
Meanwhile, in a separate meeting, senior leader and BJP national co-in charge of Tamil Nadu, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy said the TRS leaders were jittery after the state unit got the support from national leaders including the Prime Minister. He said the arrest of Sanjay Kumar and the subsequent events altered the pace of political developments in the state and the BJP was riding the high wave now.
He demanded justice to the teachers and government employees who were affected by the GO 317 and sought alterations to the order to bring parity and peace to the government staff.
