Kharge: Meet to assign duties for LS polls today
Kalaburagi: AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge unequivocally dismissed speculations about the appointment of three Deputy Chief Ministers in Karnataka during his arrival at Kalaburagi airport on Tuesday.
"It has not come before me," Kharge said while replying to reporters if the matter has come before the AICC president.
"You should ask this to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah or Deputy CM DK Shivakumar," he told reporters at Kalaburagi airport on Tuesday.
Kharge emphasized that the focus should shift from such speculations, especially with elections looming.
"Our concentration now should be on efficiently running the government, addressing people's issues, and implementing guaranteed schemes. Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar, Home Minister G Parameshwar, and others are actively working towards these goals," he added.
He emphasized the importance of steering clear of distractions until the goals are achieved.
Speaking about Prime Minister Modi's international policy, Kharge emphasized the importance of maintaining positive relations with neighbouring countries while being prepared to defend when necessary.
Kharge said that a meeting is scheduled in New Delhi tomorrow, bringing together various party units. He said that observers have been appointed for all constituencies.
Highlighting unity within the I.N.D.I.A alliance, he affirmed their commitment to stand together and win the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
