YSRC out to seize the moment as internal conflicts rock TD
Vijayawada: The YSR Congress is now getting ready to take the opportunity of conflicts between TD leaders to strengthen its fold as part of Operation Aakarsh.
Disputes between the Telugu Desam leaders are on the rise, with even the CM’s intervention failing to thaw the freeze.
Group conflicts between Bhuma and Gangula in Kurnool have reached the peak and Gangula brothers confirmed that they would be joining the YSRC. Gangula brothers alleged that the TD, for its political benefits, had ignored their efforts put forth for the party. Even the Shilpa brothers are also facing the same situation with the TD and Bhuma.
The Shilpa brothers even met Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently to tell him that it would be difficult for them with Bhuma in the Cabinet.
The Chief Minister tried to resolve the group conflicts and suggested the leaders to work collaboratively, but all his efforts went in vain. The same situation prevails in almost all districts. These conflicts are not only between TD leaders and YSRC-defected MLAs, but also between local home TD leaders for political dominance.
For instance, group wars exist among K. Achchenn-aidu, Whip Ravi Kumar and Shyam Sundar Shivaji in Srikakulam, and between Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu and Ganta Srinivasa Rao in Visakhapatnam.
The YSR Congess is closely observing the happenings, especially where its defected MLAs are positioned, to grab hold of the opportunity and woo disgruntled TD leaders.
