Will support parties opposing religious politics: CPI
KARIMNAGAR: The Left will work with parties opposing religious politics in the state, said CPI state secretary Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao in Karimnagar on Sunday.
In response to reports that the BRS is ignoring Left parties, he stated that state politics are linked to Left parties. It should not be forgotten that the BRS was able to win the much-hyped Munugode by-elections with the help of Left parties.
Sambasiva Rao said that some political heavyweights are propagating rumours
that Left leaders are visiting Pragathi Bhavan but that Chief Minister K.
Chandrashekar Rao is not giving them an appointment, which is false. “Left leaders met Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao multiple times and discussed a variety of subjects. There will be no partnership with any political party if the leaders of the Left parties are disrespected.
The allocation of seats for the Husnabad and Kothagudem Assembly segments will be decided at the time of the elections,” the CPI leader said. He said that after a discussion inside the party, the leaders will decide whether to form an alliance with the BRS or run alone in elections.
