Palvai Sravanthi’s leaked audio clip adds to Munugode suspense
Hyderabad: A leaked phone conversation, allegedly of Palvai Shravanti Reddy, in which she is heard saying that the Congress would lose if it does not field her as the candidate for the Munugode bypoll, triggered a row within the party on Wednesday.
Shravanti Reddy is the daughter of former MP Palvai Govardhan Reddy.
The audio was made public by a local leader, amid suspense over the party candidate for the Munugode bypoll following Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy’s resignation.
In the leaked audio, she can be purportedly heard expressing her anger at the increased possibility of another Congress leader, Krishna Reddy, getting a ticket. She dared the party to allot Krishna Reddy a ticket.
“The meeting (Chandur’s public meeting) was successful because of us... He (Krishna Reddy) is a non-entity. Had it been so, Revanth would himself have introduced everyone (during the public meeting)… If Revanth wishes to save his face, he should give a ticket to those who win… If he (Krishna Reddy) is given a ticket, it would be a repeat of Huzurabad. I shall not keep quiet in case someone else is chosen,” Shravanti Reddy said.
