In poll push, BJP to chargesheet MLAs

HYDERABAD: The BJP has stepped up its push with a fresh review of the party’s preparedness for the Assembly elections in Telangana state later this year. As part of these efforts, district party units will prepare chargesheets against ruling BRS MLAs on whether the legislators have worked for keeping their own promises to the voters, and to implement the ones made by BRS in its last election manifesto.

Party national general secretary and Telangana affairs in-charge Tarun Chugh, as part of these efforts, met with party leaders from Ranga Reddy district rural and urban units of the BJP on Wednesday, where this aspect was discussed among other issues. Chugh demanded that a judicial commission be set up to investigate cases of corruption against Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao. “The KCR family rule has ruined the state, and his acts of nepotism and corruption must be probed,” he said.

Dugyala Pradeep Kumar, the BJP state general secretary said, “The meeting took stock of our programmes, be it the status of our booth committees, on our party leaders preparing evaluation reports on ruling party MLAs, and how other preparatory activities are coming along.”

Chugh said such meetings will be held with all district units and in the meanwhile, a meeting with state leaders will be held too on these issues. He demanded said there was a strong revulsion among people to the BRS party and Chandrashekar Rao’s rule and that people were ready to vote the BRS out of power in the coming elections.
