BRS creating panic among people: Seethakka

Congress MLA says BRS leaders creating panic like locust insects

Hyderabad: Launching a scathing attack on the BRS, Congress Mulugu MLA Seethakka has accused the ruling party leaders of employing exploitative tactics akin to locusts, descending upon villages and instigating panic amongst the people. She alleged that the BRS leaders not only spread fear but also engage in extortion for the approval of various schemes.

Seethakka called upon Congress leaders to stage a dharna in front of all mandal tahsildar offices in Mulugu district on September 11, urging the state government to ensure transparent implementation of schemes.

The MLA contended that despite Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao's promise to provide double-bedroom houses to impoverished families over the past decade, these homes remain elusive, leaving people stranded in temporary shelters and facing immense hardships. She further criticized KCR for introducing the Gruha Lakshmi scheme, which she claimed has became another avenue for political favouritism, with BRS party leaders hand-picking beneficiaries.

Seethakka condemned the BRS leaders for their predatory behaviour, likening their entry into villages to a locust invasion, as they extract commissions from residents in exchange for scheme approvals and housing allocations.

Rather than implementing these welfare schemes transparently for the benefit of the underprivileged, Seethakka alleged that the BRS exerts political influence, pressuring officials and fostering irregularities.

The MLA advised the public not to be ensnared by the appealing words and promises of BRS leaders. She called for unity in resistance against their exploitative practices, asserting that people should fight for the benefits they rightfully deserve.
