KCR to Address 41 Meetings in 24 Days

HYDERABAD: BRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao has tentatively scheduled 41 election meetings in 24 days, practically carpet-bombing the state with his party’s message. Rao’s tentative campaign schedule was announced late on Tuesday evening.

Rao, on whose campaigning is likely to rest the fate of the outcome of some of BRS candidates in the November 30 elections, will be addressing two or three meetings a day starting in Husnabad on October 14, and winding up, as per the schedule announced on Tuesday, with a public meeting in Kamareddy on November 9.

In between, he will be addressing meetings in Jangaon, Bhongir, Sircilla, Siddipet, Jadcherla, Medchal, Achampet, Nagarkurnool, Munugode, Paleru, Station Ghanpur, Kodad, Thungathurthy, Aler, Jukkal, Banswada, Narayankhed, Huzurnagar, Miryalguda, Devarakonda, Sathupalli, Yellandu, Nirmal, Balkonda, Dharmapuri, Bhainsa (Mudhole), Armoor, Korutla, Kothagudem, Khammam, Gadwal, Makthal, Narayanpet, Chennur, Manthani, Peddapalli, Asifabad, Sirpur, and Bellampalli.

The BJP is planning a total of 40 public meetings in one month with star campaigners led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Amit Shah, J.P. Nadda, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath among other senior BJP leaders, while the Congress’ campaign is looking forward to meetings to be attended and addressed by Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi and senior leaders, with one or two possible meetings to be addressed by Sonia Gandhi. The Congress plan also includes a bus yatra featuring top leaders and Chief Ministers from party-rules states.
