Rajeev Chandrasekhar: BJP Only Alternative for BRS, Will Form Govt in TS

HYDERABAD: Union minister of state for IT Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Friday said that the BJP was the only alternative for the BRS and would form government with the support of people after the November 30 elections.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Friday, where he was campaigning for the BJP, Chandrasekhar alleged that while the Congress had “cheated the nation” for a few decades, the BRS had “looted Telangana” for ten years.

“Both these parties did not do what they could for the people. The Congress says so many things, but it will never implement them. Appeasement and higher unemployment are seen in Congress-ruled states,” he said. “Five months after coming to power in Karnataka, the Congress is unable to implement its guarantees."

He said that for the Gruhalakshmi scheme of financial aid for women, the Karnataka government had no money. The 200 units of free power was causing electricity shortages. “Unemployment allowance is being extended to only those who graduated only last year.” Chandrasekhar said and added that the BJP at the Centre had been offering Rs 15,000 to those who are undergoing training in various sectors.

The Union minister alleged that while the Karnataka government had no funds for welfare schemes but a large amount of money — Rs 109 crore — was recovered from a contractor which was meant for funding the Congress in Telangana, He alleged that the Telangana Congress leaders were Karnataka as an ATM. He has also referred to Mahadev app scam of Rs 508 involving allegedly Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
