Revanth Reddy Files Nominationm From Kamareddy
Kamareddy: Amidst fanfare, TPCC chief Revanth Reddy, accompanied by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, filed his nomination in Kamareddy at 1.30 pm on Friday.
The TPCC chief filed three sets of nomination papers, while one set was handed over to the returning officer by himself, the second set was given by Siddaramaiah.
Revanth Reddy reached Kamareddy from Hyderabad in a chopper.
TPCC in-charge Manikrao Thakre and several other Congress leaders reached party senior leader Shabbir Ali's residence in Kamareddy. Revanth reached the returning officer's office in a huge rally exhibiting the party's strength and pomp.
His main rival would be BRS president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who is also contesting from the constituency.
Later, Revanth proceeded to attend the BC Declaration Meet in the city. All the issues regarding BCs in Telangana and Karnataka would be discussed at the meet.
Siddaramaiah and Karnataka PCC chief and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar were also present.
With the Congress and BRS top leaders to compete with each other in Kamareddy, both the parties have cast special focus on the constituency and are considering victory from the place prestigiously.
Revanth Reddy will contest from Kodangal constituency too.
