Vijayawada: There is speculation of cricketer Ambati Rayudu joining Jana Sena Party after he called on JS chief Pawan Kalyan at the party office in Vijayawada on Wednesday.
According to Jana Sena party, the international cricketer met their party president Pawan Kayan and discussed the current political scenario in the state.
Jana Sena sources maintain that Ambati Rayudu will join their party soon. They said as Telugu Desam and JS are in alliance, they would hold talks on the constituency from where the cricketer will contest the forthcoming polls.
The cricketer’s meeting with Jana Sena chief has drawn the attention of political analysts. Ambati Rayudu had recently joined the YSR Congress party in the presence of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and quit it.
Earlier, the cricketer commented on social media handle X saying, “This is to inform everyone that I have decided to quit the YSRC party and stay out of politics for a little while. Further action will be conveyed in due course of time.”
