Kotamreddy wants TD MLAs who joined YSRC to quit
TIRUPATI: Dissident YSR Congress (YSRC) legislator from Nellore Rural assembly constituency Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy on Friday demanded that his fellow MLAs, who won on Telugu Desam (TD) tickets but switched loyalties to ruling party, resign before asking him (Kotamreddy) to resign.
"When they shift their loyalty to another party, it is holy. If I do the same, how can it be unholy," the Nellore Rural MLA asked at a press conference.
The rebel legislator maintained that he has not fallen into anyone's trap, but would prefer to fall into the trap of people. "There is no need for TD national president N. Chandrababu Naidu to set a trap for one MLA. My ambition is to contest the 2024 election on TD ticket. The decision is up to Naidu,” Kotamreddy remarked.
He disclosed that he will continue his Gadapa Gadapaku programme and meet the people of his constituency after June. He requested the government to resolve public issues of his constituency that he has highlighted as an MLA. “I will be grateful to the state government once it resolves the issues of people in my Nellore Rural constituency,” he stated.
Kotamreddy ridiculed MP Adala Prabhakar Reddy for claiming to be the YSRC MLA candidate from Nellore Rural segment. "Who will believe Adala who declares he will decide on his constituency every five years,” he asked
