BJP will win with an absolute majority: Bommai

Hubballi: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has expressed confidence in BJP's victory in the elections, citing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's campaign as a significant factor.

Speaking to reporters outside his house in Hubballi, he stated that the people of Shiggavi had shown him great support during the election, despite some conspiracies and propaganda against him. He confidently declared that he would win with a huge majority in Shiggaon.

Bommai also noted that the exit polls had predicted 107 seats for the Congress party and 80 for BJP in the last election but the result had turned upside down.

He said that the youth and women voters have favoured the BJP, and are with PM Modi's campaign. He was confident that the party will come back to power with an absolute majority.

The Chief Minister dismissed any doubts about the outcome of the election. "I had maintained that BJP would win a majority, and I stand by that statement," he added.

On Thursday, the Chief Minister and his wife visited the Saundatti Yallamma Temple to offer prayers.
