CM KCR to issue pattas to podu lands in Asifabad on June 24
ADILABAD: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is likely to launch the issue of pattas to podu lands at a public meeting in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district headquarters on June 24.
The district boasts of a significant tribal population while Asifabad is an Assembly constituency reserved for tribals.
The historical Jodeghat in Kerameri where Komaram Bheem was martyrdom while fighting Nizam forces also falls in the district.
The state government has taken a decision to issue pattas to the podu lands as part of the decennial celebration of Telangana Formation Day.
Rao will also formally inaugurate the integrated development office complex and lay the foundation stone for a government medical college building and will unveil statues of former minister Kotnak Bheemrao and Komaram Bheem in the headquarters. ZP chairperson Kova Laxmi is the daughter of Kotnak Bheem.
Laxmi told Deccan Chronicle that forest minister Allola Indrakaran Reddy will hold a meeting to review Rao’s visit to Asifabad and also discuss the arrangements for the meeting and programs.
