Jagan doing ignorant politics: TD
Vijayawada: Minister for Labour and Training Pitani Satyanarayana has questioned YSRC chief Jagan Mohan Reddy on the status of the resignations of their MPs with regard to special category status to the state.
He said the YSRC commitments made in plenary might become void like the MPs’ resignations.
Speaking to media in Secretariat on Monday, he pointed out that Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy had said that his intention is to become the Chief Minister.
He said, “There is no sanctity for the commitments and no proper study on them, as his aim is only to be the Chief Minister.”
“He has promised such unrealistic commitments and with his zero experience, he is doing ignorant politics,” he said.
Civil Supplies Minister Prattipati Pulla Rao asked the YSRC chief whether he would attend the CBI court on October 27 regarding his cases or he would initiate the padayatra as announced.
He said the YSRC had not discussed any constructive issues in the plenary. The dais had become unparliamentary. Mr Pulla Rao said, “Jagan is young, but has many wishes. No leader wants to be the Chief Minister for 30 years.”
He said the farmer loan waiver in AP had become an inspiration to the nation.
Mr. Pulla Rao also demanded Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy to answer how come the corruption, which is more than that of the state budget, had happened.
He said Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy strategically brought Mr. Prashant Kishore into the YSRC as he was not eligible for politics.
Meanwhile, Agriculture Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy condemned Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s comments on farmer loan waiver and said agriculture loans distributed during YSR reign in 2004-2009 was Rs. 66,234 crore as against Rs. 1,93,500 crore distributed by the TD government during 2014-17.
A target was set to distribute agricultural loans to a tune of Rs. 87,400 crore. With this, the total loan amount came up to Rs. 2,80,900 crore.
Mr. Reddy also lambasted Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy for promising to pay pension of Rs. 2,000 as the pensioners are supporting the TD government with the timely disbursement of pension of Rs. 1,000.
He added liquor sales had risen to Rs. 30,000 crore from Rs. 3,000 crore when Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy made the same experiment.
