Chandrababu Naidu allocated Sneha Block in Rajamahendravaram Central Jail

Kakinada: Former chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu was allocated the Sneha Block in the Rajamahendravaram Central Jail on Monday morning. He was remanded to 14 days’ judicial custody in the Skill Development Corporation scam case.

The Sneha Block is a special block in the jail that is reserved for VIP prisoners. It has 13 barracks and provides all the necessary facilities to the inmates. The jail authorities have beefed up security in the block in view of Naidu's arrival.

Naidu reached the jail at around 1.20 am on Monday. He was accompanied by his son Nara Lokesh and a few other party leaders. The police allowed only Naidu's car into the jail premises. Lokesh was not allowed to enter the jail.
The jail authorities allocated the number 7691 to Naidu. The remaining prisoners in the Sneha Block have been shifted to other barracks.

A large number of TD workers gathered near the jail to protest against Naidu's arrest. The police had to deploy additional forces to control the crowd.

The jail authorities have said that they will provide all the necessary facilities to Naidu during his stay in the jail. He will be allowed to meet his family members and lawyers.
