Nizamabad leaders get prominence in Congress poll panels
Nizamabad: Congress leaders from the erstwhile Nizamabad district were inducted into various election committees constituted by the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
To utilise their services as and when the party high command appointed senior leaders and activists into the committees ahead of the Assembly elections in the state.
Former minister Mohammad Ali Shabbir has been appointed as the chairman of the publicity committee and former MLA Eravathri Anil Kumar is the vice chairman. TPCC general secretary Gadugu Gangadhar is also figured in the publicity committee while former Jukkal MLA Saudagar Gangaram and TPCC Kisan Cell state president S. Anvesh Reddy were appointed as members of the charge sheet committee.
TPCC vice-president Taher Bin Hamdan was appointed as a member of the manifesto committee. NSUI senior leader G.V. Ramakrishna was inducted into the crucial election strategy committee while Madanmohan Rao was named as a member of the communication committee. The party constituted various committees, balancing the leaders from general, Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and minorities. AICC general secretary (organisation) K.C. Venugopal issued orders in this regard.
Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, TPCC working president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud said that the senior leaders were inducted into various election committees, considering their services to the party. “All the deserving leaders figured in key committees and they will play a vital role in the coming Assembly elections,” he explained.
