TD activists observe mass relay fasts over Naidu's arrest
Kakinada: Telugu Desam activists observed massive relay fasts in their respective assembly constituencies in erstwhile East and West Godavari districts on Sunday protesting against the arrest of former chief minister and TDP national president N. Chandrababu Naidu.
Former MLA Vanamadi Venkateswara Rao (Kondababu) led the fast at the Telugu Desam office in Kakinada. Women cadre of the party participated in the fast in large numbers. Kondababu, dressed in black, said the arrest of Chandrababu Naidu is the beginning of the end of ruling YSRC and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
He reiterated that Jagan has himself a psycho and Andhra Kim by acting like the North Korean dictator.
Former minister Chikkala Ramachandra Rao said Jagan Mohan Reddy has kept aside development of the state and is suppressing opposition parties that question him.
TD city president Mallipudi Veeru, Grandhi Babji, Tummala Ramesh and N. Viswanadham were among those who participated in the relay fast.
At Eluru, TD constituency in-charge Bade Chanti observed sat on hunger strike along with TD cadres.
At Nidadavolu, senior Telugu Desam leader Kundula Satyanarayana led the massive relay fast. Those fasting raised slogans against Jagan. Police took Satyanarayana into their custody, questioning him for participating in the fast though he had been put under house arrest in Tanuku.
