Somireddy dares ministers from Krishna and Guntur to resign
Nellore: Former minister and TDP politburo member Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy on Monday dared the ruling party leaders and ministers from Krishna and Guntur districts to quit their posts and seek fresh mandate from the people.
Addressing the media here, he referred to the announcement of Revenue Minister Dharmana Prasada Rao, who said he was ready to resign as minister to lead the movement in the state for the 3-Capitals.
He asked the ruling party leaders to check the status of the 3-Capitals in South Africa before replicating the system in AP.
Chandramohan Reddy noted that prime minister Narendra Modi had participated in the grand function to declare Amaravati as AP capital. He urged YSR Congress leaders to stop criticism against the Maha Padayatra as “they are proposing the capital city in the centre of the state, not at Kuppam or Naravaripalli.”
The former minister alleged that the industrialists who had previously planned to invest `2.50 lakh crore on projects in Visakhapatnam have gone back on their word after the YSR Congress came to power.
“There are around 30 MPs from the state and they should mount pressure on the Centre for the sanction of a Special Railway Zone for Visakhapatnam,” he said.
He alleged that the ruling party leaders were involved in a ` 40,000 crore land scam in Visakhapatnam. “The British were better compared to these looters,” he said.
Reddy urged the state ministers to resign and conduct a round table in Visakhapatnam. “Minister Roja Selvamani can organise a skit in a popular Jabardast show,” he said. TDP national general secretary Beeda Ravichandra was also present
