KCR Seeking Win to Make KTR Next CM, Save Kavitha from Jail: Amit Shah
HYDERABAD: Coming down heavily on the ruling BRS government in Telangana for “ruining the state” with family rule, Union home minister Amit Shah on Tuesday cautioned that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao might claim to having a poll tie-up with the BJP as a poll ploy.
“Rao might create a rumour that the BRS would get political alliance with the BJP-led NDA, but don't trust in such rumours and NDA would not allow BRS, which indulged in corruption activities in Telangana, to join NDA,” Shah said.
Addressing a gathering of professionals and intellectuals at Imperial Gardens in Secunderabad on Tuesday, Shah said that Chandrashekar Rao was trying to make his son K.T. Rama Rao the Chief Minister and save his daughter MLC K. Kavitha from jail by retaining power in Telangana.
“The BRS does not have an ideology or guidelines to lead the state. If the BRS comes to power in Telangana, the car steering will be in the hands of the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM),” Shah said.
“The BJP has a standard ideology and implements it strictly. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spent '9 lakh crore for Telangana's development in the past nine years. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao must explain why Telangana, which had surplus funds at the time of forming a state, slipped into deficit during the nine-year rule,” Amit Shah said.
Asking the professionals and intellectuals to think before casting their vote, the Union minister said: “Don't give another chance to the BRS to form the government and elect the right candidates to form a new government in Telangana. The BRS came to power promising funds, water and employment, but completely failed to provide such facilities.”
“The Congress and BRS have a political nexus, and the intellectuals and professionals must put an end to such two parties in Telangana in the ensuing Assembly elections. The family-ruled governments and corrupt political parties never strive for people's issues and it was proved in Telangana. The ruling BRS government indulged in corruption in constructing the Kaleshwaram, Palamuru-Rangareddy lift irrigation projects and looted money,” Shah alleged.
He urged the gathering to encourage the BJP and elect them, promising to strive for the development of Telangana.
