Hyderabad: The BJP national general secretary and Telangana in-charge Tarun Chugh on Wednesday said that if the BJP was voted to power in the coming Assembly elections, BJP would celebrate September 17 as Hyderabad 'Vimochana Diwas' in every nook and corner of the state, including at the mandal and district levels.
In a statement, Chugh said the time was right for the people to show the door to ruling BRS government for failing the state on all fronts at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been leading the country to new heights in all sectors, be it economy, industry or services.
Chugh said the government has handed over the steering of governance of the state to the AIMIM which has caused the state to go downhill. Making a strong appeal to the people of the state to rid themselves from AIMIM, Chugh said the people of Telangana should take a cue from the public welfare policies and schemes of the Modi government and bring BJP to power for an all-round growth of the state.
He said Telangana should strengthen the hands of the Prime Minister so that a new chapter of development and welfare could be set in the state.
