Hyderabad: BRS Sanathnagar candidate and minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Saturday accused BJP state president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy of running away from the Assembly elections contest because of the fear of losing.
Addressing a press conference, Yadav said, “Kishan Reddy, fearing a defeat amidst a surge of support for the BRS, has run away from contesting from Amberpet constituency. Instead of taking up the challenge, Kishan Reddy says he withdrew because the BJP had decided to make a BC community candidate the Chief Minister if the BJP won. It is ridiculous that the BJP which cannot even win two seats is talking about who will be its CM.”
Yadav said the BRS was receiving great support from the people across the city, adding that various development works by the government had improved Hyderabad. “The Strategic Nala Development Project has ensured there are no floods in the city, roads have improved, there are parks and many other civic amenities,” he said.
He said that starting November 17, BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao will hold road shows in various city constituencies while on November 25, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao will hold a public meeting in Hyderabad, and the venue for this event would be decided in a couple of days.
