MP Adala Prabhakar Reddy Puts Speculation to Rest, Reaffirms Commitment to YSRC
Tirupati: YSRC‘s Nellore rural constituency coordinator and MP, Adala Prabhakar Reddy, has refuted speculations of him quitting the party and asserted that his presence in the YSRC would continue.
On Thursday, Prabhakar Reddy laid the foundation for development works worth Rs.1.40 crore in the 33rd municipal corporation division of Nellore.
Later, speaking to the media, the Nellore MP expressed frustration with the Telugu Desam and its ‘biased’ media outlets. “They are engaged in a mind game to create confusion ahead of the elections,” he said.
The MP said the YSRC made him an MP and also boosted his image by appointing him the coordinator for the Nellore rural constituency. “There is no reason for me to leave the party.” He said the TD was spreading such canards.
Prabhakar Reddy praised the welfare schemes and development initiatives of Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, and said the TD was set to face another defeat in the coming elections.
Adala Prabhakar Reddy was in the TD until the 2019 elections and switched his allegiance to the YSRC after the TD announced him as its candidate for the Nellore assembly constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he won from Nellore, defeating TD's Masthan Rao.
This time, Prabhakar Reddy is likely to contest from the Nellore rural constituency as the YSRC candidate.
