Jagadish Reddy slams Bhatti for asking CM to apologise
HYDERABAD: Energy minister G. Jagadish Reddy came down heavily on CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for seeking an apology from Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao over his alleged neglect of Nalgonda district in the past nine years.
Referring to Bhatti's criticism that the Chief Minister failed to irrigate an additional acre of land in Nalgonda, Jagadish Reddy said, “Bhatti should be ashamed for demanding apologies from CM. Why should the CM apologise? Is it for giving 24-hour free power to agriculture? Is it for achieving record foodgrain production? Is it for striking a balance between welfare schemes and development programmes?”
The minister said it was for the Congress to tender one lakh apologies to the people over the late Chief Minister Y.S. Rajashekar Reddy’s comment that passports and visas would be required to visit Telangana if statehood is given.
Jagadish Reddy also slammed Congress for joining hands with TD chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, who, he said, created obstacles at every step in the formation of Telangana state.
