Leaders from MP, Maha join BRS

HYDERABAD: Leaders from various parties from Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra joined BRS in the presence of party president and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao here on Sunday.

Also in the mix were intellectuals and social groups who, the party said, were attracted by the BRS’ policies, and the public welfare and development programmes being implemented in the state. The flow of leaders into BRS gained momentum after Rao appointed former MP Buddhasen Patel as coordinator of the Madhya Pradesh BRS unit.

Addressing the newcomers, Rao lashed out at successive Union governments and charged them of lacking in direction, which had impeded the country's growth. He called upon the people to support BRS to bring a qualitative change into their lives.

Among those who joined the party from Madhya Pradesh were Ram Das V.K., former MLA; Sarvajan Kalyan Party national president Sanjay Yadav, Gondwana Party president Shobharam Balavi, Bhuvan Singh Koram, Laxman Maskole along with about 200 workers.

Rao reiterated that if the BRS was voted to power, it would provide 24-hour electricity to the people of India in two years. He stated that BRS was not just a political party but a mission to change India.

Rao criticised the Election Commission for failing to stop irregularities of parties resorting to false promises and inciting people.

He said that the BRS would set up its office in Bhopal and asked the party leaders to arrange for campaign vehicles in all the constituencies of Madhya Pradesh and travel to every village and sensitise the people about the party ideology.
