Now, ‘farmhouse politics’ on agenda
Hyderabad: Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR) will resume “farmhouse politics” from Thursday after a gap of six months. KCR is conducting house-warming ceremony for his new residential building in his farm house at Erravelli Thursday morning. Moreover, there are no auspicious days after December 12.
Sources said that although the building is not ready for occupation, KCR wishes to go ahead with the house-warming function. A normal practise is that the owner has to spend three nights after a house-warming function. KCR will spend only one day at his new farm house.
It is said that once the building is fully ready, he will spend more time there.
Everybody knows that KCR prefers farm house to the official residence, Pragathi Bhavan. During the 2018 Assembly elections, it was at the farm house that he selected party nominees and held party meetings. Some important review meetings were also held at the farm house.
It was around that time, he noticed that the farm house could not accommodate more people. He decided to demolish the existing structure and build a bigger one. Accordingly, he laid foundation stone in June.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister announced about the house-warming ceremony during Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting at Pragathi Bhavan.
