Visakhapatnam: Gajuwaka MLA Tippala Nagi Reddy said on Tuesday that he and his son Devan Reddy, who was in-charge of the constituency, would remain with Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Nagi Reddy and his son Devan Reddy called on regional coordinator Y.V. Subba Reddy at his residence in Yendada, near Madhurawada here on Tuesday morning.
“We would continue as trusted party workers of Jagan Mohan Reddy and obey all his decisions taken in the interest of the party. All we want is he should become Chief Minister again,’’ Nagi Reddy said in response to reports a day ago on Devan Reddy quitting the party.
Devan Reddy said he went out on personal work on Monday to a place where the mobile signals were weak and, on his return, heard about the rumors of him leaving the party.
“When my father is MLA, why should I quit? I am still with the party. We came to meet Subba Reddy to give this clarification,’’ Devan Reddy told the media.
“I and my father would always remain loyal to Jagan Mohan Reddy and the YSRC,” he asserted.
