HYDERABAD: Khairatabad DCC president C. Rohin Reddy began a three-month padayatra in his constituency from MS Maktha here on Sunday. While distributing leaflets, he explained about the importance of the party’s Haath se Haath Jodo Abhiyan.
Walking along with PCC general secretary M.R.G. Vinod Reddy, PCC minorities wing chairman Shaik Abdullah Sohail and other leaders, Rohin Reddy covered Blocks 41,42 and 43 in Somajiguda division under the Khairatabad Assembly constituency.
“We covered more than 800 houses and spread the message of Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo mission. During this door-to-door meeting, we also tried to identify local issues, which we will pursue with the authorities,” Rohin Reddy told Deccan Chronicle.
Rohin Reddy said that as part of the campaign they were able to reach out to residents. Apart from pasting stickers, they also distributed pamphlets in different languages, including Urdu.
“I symbolically started the yatra today. I will continue to take up the padayatra six days in a week, walking five hours every day,” he said
Apart from Khairatabad constituency, the DCC president will be covering Khairatabad Assembly constituency in the next three months.
