BJP will celebrate Telangana Liberation Day officially: Vivek
Warangal: The BJP will celebrate the Telangana Liberation Day officially after it comes to power in Telangana, said BJP national executive member G. Vivek Venkatswamy on Tuesday.
Speaking at a meeting with the party workers of 12 Assembly constituencies held in Hanamkonda, Vivek alleged that the BJP was fighting with the BRS government demanding the official celebration of the Liberation Day, but fearing losing the Muslim vote bank, the BRS government was baulking on it.
He noted that when Karimnagar MP Bandi Sanjay Kumar was serving as party state chief, the BJP registered many victories in Dubbaka, Huzurabad and GHMC elections and now under the leadership of G. Kishan Reddy, the party was gaining momentum in the state as more than 6,000 aspirants applied for party tickets for Assembly elections.
People have a lot of faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He earned fame as one of the greatest leaders in the world by making India stand in third position in terms of GDP. And now, with the successful conduct of the G-20 Summit, Modi took the nation a bit forward compared to other countries. Since the BJP government decided to conduct simultaneous (jamili) elections, it would take a call in accordance after the special Parliament session, Vivek said.
He said jamili elections would pave the way to enormous growth in states. With various welfare schemes implemented by the BJP government, the party would win the elections both at the Centre and in the state, he added.
BJP district president Rao Padma, party leaders Premander Reddy, former minister Vijaya Ramana Rao, Dr V. Muralidhar Goud, Adluri Srinivas, former MLAs V. Sriramulu, K. Sridhar, Ramachandra Rao, Sadanandam Goud, Jayant Lal, Sambaiah, Rathnam Pasha, Sriram Reddy and Jaipal Reddy were present.
