Race for Rajya Sabha seats: Oscar, Venkaiah, who are the other 2?
The ruling Congress can easily win two seats and the BJP one for which Union urban development minister M Venkaiah Naidu is the frontrunner.
BENGALURU: The race has begun in right earnest for the four Rajya Sabha seats from Karnataka for which elections will be held on June 11.
The ruling Congress can easily win two seats and the BJP one for which Union urban development minister M. Venkaiah Naidu is the frontrunner. If he contests from elsewhere, the choice would be Ayanur Manjunath or media baron Vijay Sankeshwar, sources said.
From the Congress, former Union minister Oscar Fernandes is set for another term while P. Chidambaram, S.M. Krishna, C.M. Ibrahim or Laxmi Hebbalkar are in contention for the other seats.
