Amit Shah, JP Nadda \"parroting\" words of Telugu Desam, says AP minister

VIJAYAWADA: Deputy chief minister and endowments minister Kottu Satyanarayana has asserted that the AP government, led by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, is promoting the causes of development and welfare without any corruption for the past four years.

The minister refuted allegations of corruption raised by Union home minister Amit Shah against the YSRC government in AP.

The minister said Amit Shah was reading the script written by Telugu Desam coverts in the BJP. “Since there is a wedge between Amit Shah and PM Modi, Shah opted to target CM Jagan. The comments made by Amit Shah in Visakhapatnam and JP Nadda in Kalahasti for AP were meaningless,” he said.

Satyanarayana said that, on the other hand, “not a single word against Jagan Mohan Reddy came ever from PM Modi's mouth. Jagan Mohan Reddy also never spoke against the PM. Fact is also that Modi did not even give an appointment to Naidu whenever the TD leader went to Delhi.”

“PM Modi, on request from Jagan Mohan Reddy, released Polavaram funds of Rs 13,000 crore and another Rs 10,000 crore under the revenue deficit provision. Modi released the money because of his special admiration for Jagan Mohan Reddy.”

He also recalled that Modi had once commented that Naidu used Polavaram as an ATM.

Deputy CM Kottu Satyanarayana said the Andhra people will be happy if decisions like special status and cancellation of Vizag steel plant privatisation are taken. He said,

“We have no problem if Pawan Kalyan undertakes a Varahi Yatra for political campaigns. Only some youth would follow him and there will be no restrictions on whoever comes to the temple in the form of devotees.”

The deputy CM clarified that it is forbidden to conduct political campaigns in the vicinity of the temple.
