BJP afraid of facing elections constantly: Harish
Hyderabad: Finance Minister T. Harish Rao asserted on Wednesday that the BJP is afraid about the upcoming elections and has embraced the concept of One Nation, One Election to divert attention from their failures. He also criticised the Congress for making false declarations in Telangana.
Harish Rao made these remarks during a meeting of election preparatory workers in Husnabad constituency of Siddipet district.
During the event, Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao's efforts to bring Godavari water to Husnabad constituency through the Mid Manair project were praised. Despite numerous obstacles, the BRS government successfully completed the Gaurelli project.
Harish Rao questioned the Congress’ failure to implement similar declarations in the states they govern and pointed out that the Telangana community has independently declared their support for Chandrasekhar Rao to serve as Chief Minister for a third consecutive term.
He highlighted the government's fulfillment of promises made in the manifesto and unspoken commitments, including the waiver of farmers' loans during the Covid-19 pandemic to address agricultural concerns. Harish Rao accused the BJP of attempting to implement the One Nation, One Election concept out of fear of facing defeat in the upcoming elections.
