YSRC government has unleashed anarchy, says TD
Visakhapatnam: Telugu Desam state general secretary Mohammed Nazir on Wednesday charged that in the name of maintaining law and order, the government led by Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has unleashed anarchy in Andhra Pradesh.
Nazir accused AP police of helping the CM in this act.
The TD leader’s comments came in the wake of their party deciding to hold state-wide protests. However, as TD leaders and workers reached the GVMC Gandhi Statue in Visakhapatnam to register their protests, police arrested them as soon as they arrived at the protest site.
Visakhapatnam district TD president Palla Srinivasa Rao and East constituency Legislator Velagapudi Ramakrishna Babu were arrested and taken away by police when they reached the GVMC Gandhi Statue protest site for a hunger strike.
Police deployment was huge at the Vizag TD office. Police did not allow some of the TD supporters to get into the party office. Those inside were arrested.
TD leader Nazir underlined that a discussion has started nationwide that Jagan Mohan Reddy has become dictatorial. He said party lawyers have filed a petition in the High Court against police detaining Telugu Desam leaders within their homes.
