Medak: Former MLA and senior Congress leader Shashidhar Reddy joined BRS in Medak on Friday. Health minister T. Harish Rao invited him into the party fold. Along with Shashidhar Reddy, second rung leaders and Congress activists also joined the ruling party.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao said that people should elect Padma Devender Reddy as the MLA for the third time and set a record.
He said that former prime minister Indira Gandhi had failed to work for Medak’s development district, but Padma Devender Reddy had strived hard for it, Harish Rao said. A separate Medak district was created, a railway line and government medical college sanctioned for the it, he said.
Depending on money power no one can succeed in politics, especially in Medak district, leaders should serve the people wholeheartedly, he said.
