Hyderabad: Officials continued to seize money without supporting documents in various parts of the city. In Borabanda, during a vehicle check at Kalyannagar Junction, one Mustafa Ali Khan was found with Rs 5 lakh.
LB Nagar police apprehended six individuals at different locations during vehicle checks and seized a cumulative Rs 28.99 lakh from them.
In an instance near ORR Exit no. 11, Abdullapurmet police discovered, 20 tulas of gold jewellery worth Rs 12 lakh and 12.5 tulas of silver jewellery valued at Rs 9,000 in a car.
The police have advised that individuals travelling with significant amounts of money and jewellery should ensure they carry the relevant documentation with them. The seized amount will be handed over to income tax department for further probe.
