Naidu Has Not Launched Any Programme to Help People, Says Jagan
Visakhapatnam: Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy has slammed TD president Nara Chandrababu Naidu, saying the former CM cannot claim to have launched even one good programme that benefited the people during his 14 years’ rule.
Jagan Mohan Reddy was addressing a public meeting at Palasa railway grounds in Srikakulam district after inaugurating Dr YSR Kidney Research and Super Speciality Hospital and the YSR Sujaladhara drinking water project on Thursday.
He said Naidu spent more time on electoral gimmicks and alliances rather than serving the people.
“Chandrababu ruled this state from 2014 to 2019 with the help of other political parties but failed to solve the chronic kidney ailments in Uddanam,’’ he stated.
He said the TD chief was unable to digest the efforts the YSRC government was making to shift capital to Visakhapatnam, build seaports, airports and medical colleges. “Nor does he want to stay here.”
“Living permanently in another state, these gang of leaders are out to exploit the people of AP,’’ Jagan Mohan Reddy said also in reference to JS chief Pawan Kalyan.
Jagan Mohan Reddy called upon the people to reject such leaders in the next elections.
“You must see see the qualitative difference between the YSRC, which has implemented 99.5 per cent of its election promises, and the ‘gang of thieves’ led by Chandrababu Naidu that failed to implement even 10 per cent of their promises, the Chief Minister said.
As elections draw near, Chandrababu enacts political dramas with fake promises, forges alliances and resorts to gimmicks and conspiracies in cahoots with foster son and package star Pawan Kalyan, the CM said.
He said Pawan Kalyan received less votes for his JS in all the constituencies he had contested than independent candidate Barrelakka (Sirisha) in the Telangana elections.
“Chandrababu and his foster son have developed severe heartburn at the growing popularity of the YSRC government that has been implementing a slew of welfare schemes and development programmes, the Chief Minister said.
Jagan Mohan Reddy urged the people to become his soldiers if they felt they were benefited by his government’s welfare schemes.
