KTR to start Manair River Front works tomorrow
KARIMNAGAR: Municipal administration minister K.T. Rama Rao will inaugurate Manair River Front (MRF) works on Thursday and address a public meeting in Karimnagar on the same day. Party workers are making elaborate arrangements to make the minister’s programme a grand success.
Rama Rao will start the MRF works on the shores of Lower Manair Dam (LMD) reservoir and lay foundation stones for providing 24-hour drinking water supply within Karimnagar Municipal Corporation limits and completing remaining elements of the Smart City project.
BC welfare minister Gangula Kamalakar, city mayor Y. Sunil Rao and district collector R.V. Karnan inspected arrangements being made for the tour programme of IT minister. Karnan said once the river front of Manair is developed and cable-stayed bridge completed, Karimnagar city will emerge as one of the best tourist spots in the state.
After inspecting the BC Study Circle building constructed at a cost of ₹ 5 crore near Ujwala park, the collector ordered the contractor to complete all pending works before the municipal minister arrives for inauguration of the building.
Additional collector Garima Agarwal, municipal commissioner Sewa Islawath, deputy commissioner Thryambakeshwar, water supply superintendent engineer Shiva Kumar and Bonala Srikanth were among those present on the occasion.
