Kishan Reddy Challenges Congress, Own Up to Hyderabad Liberation History
Hyderabad: Union minister and BJP state president G. Kishan Reddy on Friday challenged the Congress to acknowledge the role of Telangana armed struggle against the Nizam’s rule.
Addressing a public meeting in Parkal after paying tributes to martyrs of the armed struggle against the Nizam and victims of Razakar attacks, Reddy said first the Congress and the BRS later kept this phase of history buried, while it was the BJP that brought it to light.
Reddy reached Parkal at the head of a bike rally he led starting in the morning from Parade Ground in Secunderabad covering a distance of around 200 km with hundreds of BJP leaders and workers joining him on the journey.
The BJP, after coming to power in Telangana, will celebrate Hyderabad Liberation Day officially in every village in the state, he added.
Later, he met with students from Kakatiya University who have been protesting on admissions irregularities in the university and assured them of support from the Bharatiya Janata Party.
