Hyderabad: In Chevella Assembly constituency, the main rivals this time are the same as in the 2014 Assembly elections, but their parties have changed.
In 2014, Kale Yadaiah was the Congress candidate. He had contested against K.S. Ratnam who was the TRS candidate. Yadaiah later joined the TRS, while Ratnam later left the TRS and joined the Congress. In the upcoming Assembly elections, Yadaiah is contesting as a TRS candidate and Ratnam is the Congress candidate. Yadaiah had won in 2014 with a majority of just 781.
Allies too have changed. In 2014 the TD was in alliance with the BJP, while this time it has allied with the Congress.
